Chilling requirement is the key basis for sweet cherry introduction, protected cultivation and climate change prediction. By summarizing the application of ≤7.2℃ model, 0~7.2℃ model, Utah model and Kinetic model in the estimation of chilling requirement for sweet cherry in China, it was concluded that ≤7.2℃ model was gradually replaced due to numerical instability, while 0~7.2℃ model was widely used in China because of easy operation, small interannual difference and stability. Although Utah model and Kinetic model considered the influence of high temperature and low temperature on chilling requirement, they were not widely used because of their complex calculation. Based on the literature data of CNKI, the chilling requirement obtained by different models of different varieties from different geographical locations were analyzed and compared, and the influencing factors and research prospects were expounded to provide theoretical bases for cultivation at suitable time and place and variety breeding of sweet cherry.
