摘要
光绪二十二年(1896),文廷式组织家族企业广泰福商号,并与盛宣怀合作以供应汉阳铁厂煤焦。次年,广泰福商号因故倒闭并出售给汉阳铁厂,文氏家族又另设利合公司以期继续开发萍煤。在盛宣怀的要求下,文氏家族最终将利合公司也归并于汉阳铁厂,这是盛宣怀创办萍乡煤矿的一个重要基础。此外,文廷式及其家族对萍乡矿务的介入有利于化解地方社会对发展新式矿务的阻力,这也使得萍乡煤矿的创办过程更顺畅。
In 1896,Wen Tingshi organized the family business Guangtaifu,and cooperated with Sheng Xuanhuai to supply coal and coke for Hanyang Iron Works.The next year,Guangtaifu went bankrupt for some reason and was sold to Hanyang Iron Works.The Wen family set up Lihe Company to continue to develop Pingxiang’s Coal Resources.At the request of Sheng Xuanhuai,the Wen family finally merged Lihe Company into Hanyang Iron Works,which is an important basis for Sheng Xuanhuai to establish Pingxiang Coal Mine.In addition,Wen Tingshi and his family’s involvement in Pingxiang mining industry is conducive to resolving the resistance to the development of new mining industry from local society,which made the establishment of Pingxiang Coal Mine more smooth.
