摘要
江南谚云:“尺牍书疏,千里面目也。”意思是书信如同一个人的脸面,要注意书写规范,给他人留下好印象,但屠寄则把自己和赵凤昌的尺牍书疏视为他们之间的当面晤谈一般。从赵凤昌收藏的屠寄32通信函来看,的确如此。屠寄之信如倾积愫,放言无忌,不仅饱含真情实感,而且信息量大,蕴藏着丰富的历史内容和资料,既反映他们二人之间的日常生活和人情往来,也记录不少屠寄的亲身经历和所见所闻,涉及官场生态、地方民情等,真实地再现清末民初政情与社会的多元面相和鲜活图景。其中的屠寄自述经历更是研究其生平历史的一手素材。
A Jiangnan proverb said that a letter was like a person’s face,be careful to write properly and make a good impression on others.But Tu Ji regarded his letters with Zhao Fengchang as a face-to-face conversation between them.From Zhao Fengchang’s collection of Tu Ji’s 32 letters,it was true.Tu Ji’s letters was like pouring out his feelings for years,speaking without fear,not only full of true feelings,but also a large amount of information,containing rich historical content and data.It not only reflected the daily life and human exchanges between the two of them,but also recorded a lot of Tu Ji’s personal experience and what he saw and heard,involving the ecology of officialdom,Local conditions,etc.,truly reproduced the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of The political situation and social diversity and fresh picture.Among them,Tu Ji’s self-reported experience was the primary material for studying his life and history.
