摘要
四川江油云岩寺飞天藏和平武报恩寺华严藏是现存转轮藏中形制最完备、造型最宏丽的转轮藏,研究价值很高。文章通过对两例转轮藏斗栱做法的对比、转轮藏与同期四川地区大木作斗栱做法的对比发现,转轮藏中斗栱的主要形制特征与同期大木作斗栱的营造风尚紧密相关,同时,转轮藏斗栱形制的演变趋势与大木作斗栱的变化趋势保持一致。鉴于大小木作斗栱尺度及其主要功能的差异,转轮藏斗栱采用了与同期大木作不同的设计策略,且在斗栱外跳的样式创新上比大木作明显超前。
The rotating sutra cabinets(zhuanlunzang)of Bao’en Temple in Pingwu County and Yunyan Temple in Jiangyou City,Sichuan Province,are among the most intact and magnificent existing examples of their kind,and therefore,particularly valuable for the study of the rotating sutra cabinets.Through a comparative analysis of the bracket-sets(dougong)on these two sutra cabinets,this article points out that the characteristics of the bracket-sets on these two cabinets,categorised as‘minor carpentry’(xiaomuzuo),are closely related to those on‘major carpentry’(damuzuo)from the same period.In addition,consistent trends of evolution of the bracket-sets can be found on both the sutra cabinets and major carpentry.Different design strategies of the bracket-sets were adopted based on their distinctive scales and functions on the sutra cabinets and full-scale timber buildings.New formal characteristics of the exterior bracket-sets on the sutra cabinets appear to have emerged ahead of those on major carpentry from the same period.
