试论西方建筑的审美定性

摘要 希腊的神庙、罗马的古斗兽场、中世纪的哥特式建筑都有着基本的象形物——神。这种神性尺度在传达建筑时代精神上有着宏大峻伟的气象,塑造了人类建筑史上的不朽之作。随着现代主义建筑对理性与科学的宣扬,后现代主义对历史的回归和通俗文化的重视,西方建筑经历了否定之否定的发展之路,每一次审美意识的转折,都预示着一种新的审美观的开端,当前人类的建筑审美意识正在走向具有超现实、重体验、时空感、场所性的建筑之境。 The temple architecture in Greece, the ancient Colosseum in Rome and the Gothic architecture in the Middle Ages all have the basic pictographic object--god. This divine scale has a grand and majestic atmosphere in conveying the spirit of the architectural times, shaping the immortal works in the history of human architecture. With the promotion of rationality and science by modernism architecture, and the return of history and the emphasis on popular culture by the post-modernism, western architecture has been on the road of negation of negation. Every turn of aesthetic variation heralds the beginning of a new aesthetic standard. At present, it constantly guides the human aesthetic consciousness of architecture to the futuristic architecture with surrealism, emphasis on experience, sense of time and space, and place.
