摘要
It has been ten years since 2011 when the first issue of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics Letters(TAML) came out. To date, TAML has published over 700 articles and 30 special issues covering a broad range of topics in mechanics. Such great achievements are even not possible without the continued dedication and support from authors, reviewers and editors. At this very special moment, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you, and hope you will continue to devote your time and effort s to the further advances of TAML.

J.C.Li,Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences,and the co-founding Editor-in-Chief of TAML.He has been engaged in the study of fluid hydrodynamics for a long time.His interests are focused on the theory and modeling in nonlinear waves,hydrodynamic stability and turbulence related to various applications in ocean and environment engineering.He was a member of the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics(IUTAM)Assembly,chairman of the Asian Fluid Mechanics Committee(AFMC)and president of the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics(CSTAM)etc.
