摘要
雌盘制作年代为春秋晚期前段,是曾任蔡景侯太师的子趒(朝)之子雌所作。子趒(朝)是蔡庄侯之孙、蔡文侯之子、蔡景侯的兄弟。该盘形制独特,纹饰细腻,铭文内容丰富,对蔡国铜器断代与历史研究具有重要价值,也为四环耳双衔环盘的研究提供了新资料。
Commissioned by Ci,the production of the dish was in the early late Spring&Autumn Period.Ci was the son of zi Zhao,who was the Grand Tutor of Marquis Jing of the State of Cai,the grandson of Marquis Zhuang,the son of Marquis Wen,and the brother of Marquis Jing.Uniquely shaped,exquisitely decorated and bearing substantially informative inscription,this dish is significant for the dating of bronzes of the State of Cai and relevant historical research.It will also be further examined in the research into dishes with four ring-ears and two rings.
