摘要
以"设计研究"为线索梳理1950-2000年代的中国古代建筑史研究,将其置于社会与知识环境中,探讨建筑史学家所讨论的"设计"到底是什么。首先指出1950-1960年代建筑艺术、技术与历史的分离状态为脱离历史语境的"设计研究"提供可能性;继而通过3组代表性概念,阐明"设计研究"的具体内容,揭示话语环境,勾勒变化趋势;最后转向"设计"概念本身,指出"设计"活动为社会的产物,历史研究应首先阐明"设计"在中国古代营造体系中的涵义,并尝试初步界定前现代中国语境中的"设计"问题。
Focusing on design research in the writings of ancient Chinese architectural history from the 1950 s to the 2000 s in the context of contemporary social and knowledge environment,the paper aims to find out what the“design”means for architectural historians.First,the paper points out that the separation of art,technology,and historical values in architecture in the 1950 s and 60 s makes design research without a historical context possible.Then,it explicates the contents of design research by three groups of keywords to reveal the contexts and outline the trend of change.And it turns to the concept of design itself,arguing for“design”as a social product.In the end,the paper maintains that the actual meanings of design in premodern China must be clarified in historical research,offering a preliminary definition of design in the context of pre-modern Chinese society.
