摘要
《孟子•离娄上》载孟子云:“善战者服上刑,连诸侯者次之,辟草莱、任土地者次之。”对于孟子此句,历代学者众说纷纭,甚至认为理想主义色彩过重,不符合治国之道。将“善战者服上刑”之说放到孟子的整个思想体系中去分析解读,从整体上把握其出发点和立论落脚点,使之得到合理的诠释。孟子提出“善战者服上刑”之说,根本原因是孟子与兵家、法家、纵横家的政治立场不同,本质上是王霸的冲突,最终目的是充分阐发他的王道政治,即以“仁政”为核心的国家主义。
《Mencius》has recorded: "the warlike general should be punished first, and strategists are the second,legalists are the third." For this sentence, scholars have different opinions, even think that the idealism color is too heavy, not accord with the government. This paper analyzes the theory of "the warlike general should be punished" in the whole ideological system of Mencius,and grasps its point and foothold as a whole, so as to get a reasonable interpretation. Mencius put forward the theory,the fundamental reason is that Mencius has different political positions with strategists,and Legalists.In essence, it is the conflict between rule by justice or force. The ultimate purpose is to fully explain his kingly politics,that is, nationalism with "benevolent government" as the core.
