摘要
具身认知的兴起挑战了传统无身理性的观点,人类的理性和心智活动不再简单地被归结为符号—表征的运算过程,而是人的生物学机制、历史文化背景和社会环境等因素交互构成的结果。受具身认知的影响,许多实验被设计出来考察伦理学问题。科学家们发现人类的伦理生活深受具身经验的影响,道德判断和道德感受性被人类视觉经验、身体洁净感、嗅觉经验等具身知觉经验所塑形。这些实验挑战了建基于无身理性之上的伦理学,同时也指明了一门具身伦理学的理论优势及其可能性。
The Embodied Cognition has been challenged the traditional viewpoint of disembodied reason.Human reason and mental process were no longer simply known as the symbolic and representative calculation,as well as the interaction of biological mechanism,historical and cultural background,social environment,and other factors.According to the Embodied Cognition,experiments have been designed to investigate some ethical issues.Scientists have found that human’s ethical life is deeply influenced by embodied experience.Meanwhile,moral judgments and moral sensitivity are shaped by human’s embodied experience,such as visual experience,body cleansing experience,and olfactory experience.These experiments challenged the ethics grounded by disembodied reason.After all,the advantages and possibilities of an embodied ethics would be demonstrated.
