摘要
纵观东西方设计史,以满足使用需求为目标的功能主义在造物活动中占有重要地位。文章通过对湖北荆门包山楚墓折叠床的形态结构和制作工艺进行深入分析,同时引用儒家、墨家、道家和法家等学派经典论述作为旁证,认为功能主义设计美学在先秦时期就已经发展成熟,并开始广泛运用于设计实践。文章还通过对比西方20世纪初现代设计的基本观点和代表作品,探讨中国古代功能主义设计思想对世界现代设计产生的深远影响,为当代设计发展方向提供参考。
Throughout the history of Eastern and Western design,functionalism aiming to meet the usage needs plays an important role in creation activities.Through in-depth analysis of the morphological structure and production process of the folding bed of Baoshan Chu tomb in Jingmen,Hubei Province,and citing the classics of Confucianism,Mohism,Taoism and Legalism as circumstantial evidence,it believes that functionalism design aesthetic had developed and matured in the pre-Qin period and began to be widely used in design practice.The article also compares the basic views and representative works of modern western design in the early 20th century,discusses the profound influence of ancient Chinese functionalism design thought on modern world design,and thereby provides reference for the development direction of contemporary design.
