摘要
在弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫的小说《达洛卫夫人》里,疾病是值得解读的社会症状。通过呈现疾病的成因、症状、结果以及治疗过程中的医患关系,作者构建了政治和性别两个维度的隐喻:一方面是对战争和体制的反思与批判,另一方面是对父权社会的揭示和反抗。伍尔夫赋予疾病以隐喻功能,其目的不仅在于反映现代人的精神危机,更在于利用疾病的非理性来揭示一条通往真理的道路。
In Virginia Woolf’s Mrs.Dalloway,illness is a social symptom worth interpreting.By presenting the causes,symptoms and results of illness,as well as the doctor-patient relationship in the treatment process,the author constructed the metaphor in both political and gender dimensions.On one hand,the metaphor contains reflection and critique of the war and the regime.On the other hand,it reveals the patriarchal society and shows the resistance.Woolf gave illness metaphors,the purpose of which was not only to reflect the spiritual crisis of modern people,but also to use the irrationality of illness to reveal a road to truth.
