摘要
斯坎伦认为他的非自利契约论在回答为何要讲道德或道德动机形成的问题上具有以往理论所不具有的优点。而回答为何要讲道德或道德动机如何形成的问题也就是解释道德要求的"重要性"(即"必须性""合理性")和"优先性"。斯坎伦从道德的动机问题入手,通过形式和实质这两种解释的维度,阐释了这一问题。斯坎伦对道德重要性和优先性的解释可以看作是他对规范伦理学层面的非自利契约论的一种辩护和论证。
Scanlon believes that his theory of contractualism has the advantage of answering the question of why morality or moral motivation is formed.The answer to the question of why morality or moral motivation is formed is to explain moral"importance"(i.e."necessity","reasonableness")and"priority".Starting from the reach on moral motivation,Scanlon interpretated this problem by the two dimensions of formal and substantive accounts.Scanlon’s explanation of moral importance and priority can be regarded as a kind of defense and argumentation to the contractualism of normative ethics.
