Preliminary Report on the Excavation of the Western Section of the Buddhist Temple at the Rechka Site in Kyrgyzstan

摘要 2018~2019年,陕西省考古研究院与吉尔吉斯斯坦科学院历史考古与民族学研究所联合对红河古城西侧佛寺遗址进行了两次发掘。发现了房址、圆形遗迹以及大量的倒塌堆积,出土了大量的建筑材料和陶片。初步推断该遗址的年代为7~12世纪。 The Shaanxi Academy of Archaeology collaborated with the Institute of History,Archaeology,and Ethnology of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to conduct two excavations at the western section of the Buddhist temple at the Rechka site in 2018 and 2019.The archaeology fieldwork brought into lights house foundations,circular features and voluminous collapsed building remains together with architectural remains and sherds.This report suggests that the site should date to the 7th and 12th century CE.
