摘要
文章介绍"归成——毕业于宾夕法尼亚大学的第一代中国建筑师"展览,呈现第一代建筑师在宾大求学期间的学习经历和学业成就,并且尝试解读他们回归祖国后在中国传统建筑研究领域方面所做出的卓越业绩。文章认为,"归成"展的目的既是回溯性的,又是前瞻性的;它既是历史性的呈现,也是理论性的解读,既是社会性的传播,也是专业性的探讨。其目标就是试图在各种断缝之间进行衔接,在宏观视角与具体内容之间,在专业内涵与时代背景之间,将毕业于宾大的第一代建筑师与更大范畴的社会考量融合在一起,以便拼合更具整体性的学术视角。
The paper introduces the exhibition of"Accomplishment-the First Generation of Chinese Architects from the University of Pennsylvania",and demonstrates the educational circumstances and academic achievement when they studying in the Department of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania,displays their prominent career in studying Chinese traditional architecture after their coming back to China.This paper considers the exhibition both prospective and retrospective,both a historical presentation and a theoretical interpretation,and both social communication and academic research.The exhibition aims to join the history fragments together,put the accomplishments of these first generation of Chinese architects trained at the University of Pennsylvania under the major background of social change at the beginning of20 th century,and generate a broader perspective for Chinese modern architecture.
