Among the bronze objects excavated in Wu-Yue district, there are a number of V-shaped bronze implements. With two fine-toothed blades, they are called‘Bronze Nou’.Nou appeared in late Western Zhou, experienced fully development during the time from Spring&Autumn Period to early Warring States Period, and gradually disappeared after the middle Warring States Period. The origin of Nou’s pattern can be traced to stone hoes and triangle stone plows made in Liangzhu era.It is believed that Nou,displaying obvious regional characteristics, used to be closely related with primitive worship of bird totem.
