Objective To explore the effect of continuous nursing based on WeChat platform in patients with colostomy. Methods A total of 160 discharged patients with colostomy were randomly divided into two groups by random number table method. The control group(80 cases)received continuous nursing based on telephone follow-up and home visit, and the study group(80 cases)received continuous nursing based on WeChat platform. The nursing effects of the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the self-care ability and quality of life of the study group were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05);the awareness rate of health knowledge in the study group was higher than that in the control group(97.50%vs.87.50%,P<0.05);the incidence of complications in the study group was lower than that in the control group(7.50% vs.18.75%,(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous nursing based on WeChat platform for colostomy patients can improve self-care ability, health knowledge awareness rate, prevent complications related to colostomy, and improve quality of life.
