摘要
清代诗坛从初始起就为肃清明末公安、竟陵之流弊而走向质实的一面,这种宗经尚学的倾向到乾嘉时愈演愈烈,以至诗歌创作益发显出学问化的特点,从而不可避免地削损了诗歌自身的艺术性。袁枚有感于此,遂提出性灵诗说以矫时代风气。他的这一努力,具现于《随园诗话》中对学问与创作二者关系的评议中:一方面,从创作论角度出发标举性情以抗学问;另一方面,又从批评论角度出发对当世诗歌学问化倾向作出严厉指斥。尽管他的论述有时呈现出某种摇摆不定以至自相抵牾之态,但也大体具备一定的体系意识,倡导了"以学济才"的诗学观念。
The poetic circle of early Qing Dynasty moved towards a thick style in order to eliminate the bad influences of Gong’an School and Jingling School at the end of the Ming Dynasty. This tendency of advocating Confucian classics became more and more intense under the reign of emperors Qianlong and Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, so much so that the poem creation became more and more knowledgeable, which inevitably undermined the artistry of the poetry itself. Yuan Mei felt this, so he put forward the theory of spiritual poetry to correct the atmosphere of the times. His efforts were manifested in his comments on the relationship between knowledge and creation in Suiyuan Poetry Talks: on the one hand, from the point of view of creation theory, he marked temperament to resist learning;on the other hand, he severely criticized the tendency of contemporary knowledgeable poetry from perspective of literary critique. Although his exposition is sometimes ambivalent and even self-contradictory, he had a certain awareness of constructing theoretical system and advocating the poetic concept of "learning for talent".
