The American movie the Silence of the Lambs, released in 1991, won five prizes including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay Adaptation in 64th Oscar. The actress Chris is nominated the greatest heroine of the 100 hero in the movie history appraised by AFI. Such movie is ascribed a film of psychoanalysis rather than crime and thriller. Women consciousness and Feminism implied in the movie make it stand out from many Hollywood films and become a classic work. This paper intends to explore the feminism reflected in the film.
