摘要
为了提高超高分子量聚乙烯(UHMWPE)纤维与环氧树脂之间的黏结性,以马来酸酐接枝聚乙烯蜡(PEW-g-MAH)为表面功能处理剂,对UHMWPE纤维进行表面涂层改性。详细介绍PEW-g-MAH的制备及纤维改性工艺,并对纤维的力学性能、形态结构、红外光谱及单纤维抽出性能进行测试,分析改性前后纤维表面极性基团、结晶度、断裂强度、表面形态及其与环氧树脂之间黏结性的变化。结果表明,改性纤维表面引入了一定数量的极性基团而且变得更加粗糙,纤维结晶度和断裂强度没有发生明显变化,单纤维抽出试验表明改性后纤维与环氧树脂之间的黏结力提高了49.68%。
Polyethylene wax grafted maleic anhydride(PEW-g-MAH) was used as surface treating agent and deposited on the UHMWPE fiber’s surface by coating method to improve the adhesion between UHMWPE fibers and epoxy resin. The preparation of PEW-g-MAH and fiber modification process was introduced in detail, and the mechanical properties, morphological structure, infrared spectrum and single fiber pulling-out properties of the fiber were tested. The changes of surface polar groups, crystallinity, breaking strength, surface topography of fibers and adhesion between fiber and epoxy resin were studied. The results show that some polar groups are introduced onto the fiber surface and the fiber’s surface became more roughness after finishing. The crystallinity and breaking strength of the fibers don’t change significantly, and the bonding strength between the modified fibers and epoxy resin increases by 49.68%.
