摘要
本文从系统功能语言学及物性视角出发,对比分析陶渊明《归园田居》(其一)及其英译本中的生态意蕴,重新认识人类与大自然的关系。研究发现,《归园田居》(其一)及其英译本主要通过及物性过程中的参与者(重点是施动者)的拟人化和生命体化来构建作者与自然万物融为一体的自然生态观,通过对生活环境及场景的描述来体现作者与人和以及景和的社会生态观,通过一些特殊的物质过程动词来体现出作者高洁的精神生态观。本研究不仅探索了生态话语分析的及物性路径,对田园诗的英译研究有一定指导意义,还能让国内外读者品味古代中国人民"天人合一"的生态观,对当代中国生态文明建设具有实际价值。
The paper is an attempt to study Tao Yuanming' s poem Back to Country Life I and its translated versions from the perspective of transitivity in systemic functional linguistics, aiming to ex-plore the contained ecological implications and to reconsider the relationship between human beings and the nature. It is found that, in the original text and its English versions. Tao Yuanming’s natural ecological perspective of harmonious co-existence between human beings and the nature is mainly expressed by personifying and humanizing the non-living actors, his social ecological perspective of being harmonious with people and scenery around him is reflected in description of his living environ-ment and scenes. and his spiritual ecological perspective of being free from the vulgarity can be seen via the use of some special material action verbs. The study explores a feasible method of eco-dis-course analysis from the perspective of transitivity, which is of instructional significance for the trans-lation of pastoral poems. In addition, it is of some practical value for the construction of our ecological civilization by assisting readers both at home and abroad to learn ancient Chinese people’s ecologi- cal idea o” unity of heaven and man”.
