摘要
近期,面向车载网络(Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks,VANETs)的视频流的研究得到广泛关注。然而,由于VANETs的动态拓扑、间歇性连通以及视频传输的严格要求,维持车载环境的高质量视频流服务存在挑战。为此,提出基于改进的用户数据报协议(User Datagram Protocol,UDP)的视频数据传输协议(EUDP)。UDP协议没有考虑任何差错数据包的恢复机制,与UDP不同,提出的EUDP协议使用了子数据包转发差错纠正策略(Sub-Packet Forward Error Correction,SPFEC),并引用非均衡保护的视频帧类型,进而提高视频流的服务质量。通过实验数据表明,与UDP和未引用非均衡保护的视频帧类型的UDP(记为EUDP-E)相比,EUDP协议在差错恢复率、峰值信噪比(Peak Signal to Noise Ratio,PSNR)和平均得分(Mean Opinion Score,MOS)方面均有好的性能。
Research and development on video streaming over vehicular ad hoc networks(VANETs)have expanded rapidly in the last few years.High quality video streaming in vehicular environment is very challenging due to the very high dynamic of VANET topology and its intermittent connection,stringent requirements of video transmission.In this paper,we propose a new protocol called Enhanced User Datagram Protocol(EUDP)for video streaming in VANET.Unlike User Datagram Protocol(UDP)which did not consider any recovery mechanism of erroneous packets,EUDP uses Su?-Packet Forward Error Correction(SPFEC),and adopts the unequal protection of video frame types(i.e.I,P,B)to improve the video streaming quality.After a set of simulations and comparisons witli UDP and EUDP witliout unequal protection of video frame types(EUDP-E),our proposal showed a signifi-cant improvement in terms of error recovery rate,PSNRand MOS of transmitted video.
