Intelligent metro optical networks and key optical components

摘要 以城域光传输网在数据业务驱动下,对智能化和灵活性的要求不断增加,带来网络架构的革新为背景,阐述了可重构光分插复用器(reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexer,ROADM)网元及其动态组网技术面临的挑战;研究了ROADM网元中核心光器件的低成本解决方案,以及ROADM网元设备白盒化、解耦合以及可编程性的需求,得出低成本、白盒化的ROADM网元是城域光传输网智能化的关键有效手段的结论。 Driven by the background of escalating internet traffic,the requirements of intellectualization and flexibility on metro optical transportation networks were dramatically increasing,which promoted network architecture revolution.ROADM network element and its dynamic networking technology which played the core role in intelligent all-optical metro networks were introduced.Metro network was cost sensitive,thus low-cost key optical components as the keys for physical realization of ROADM network element were studied,as well as decoupled white box optical components and their programmability.It was concluded that the low cost white box ROADM network elements were the key and effective means for optical metro networks intelligentialization.
