摘要
数据新闻是大数据背景下诞生的一种跨学科、跨领域的新闻报道方式,它旨在通过数据挖掘,探寻隐藏在大数据背后的新闻,并利用静态图表、交互式多媒体等形式将新闻内容视觉化呈现,对数据的深度挖掘和可视化呈现是数据新闻的核心内容。2014年3月,埃博拉肆虐西非三国,数据新闻的出现为公众理解这种可怕的病毒提供了更为直观和便捷的方式,医学网站借助数据新闻的深度挖掘对此次疫情做到了提前预警。本文通过分析和对比中外媒体埃博拉事件报道中数据新闻的应用,阐述数据新闻对健康报道的价值和未来的发展方向。
Data-driven journalism is a cross-disciplinary journalistic process which under the background of big data. It aims to reveal the news hidden beneath the big data through data mining,and visualize the news content with static charts and interactive multimedia. The priority of data-driven journalism is to dig into the data and visualize the news. In March 2014,the Ebola rampant in three countries of west Africa, the emergence of data-driven journalism provides amore intuitive and convenient way for the public to comprehend such a terrifying virus,and even the data digging of the medical websites made a great difference to do a early warning for the epidemic. In this article,the author intends to outline the value and future direction of data-driven journalism on health report,by contrasting the application of the data-driven journalism in the Chinese and foreign reports of the Ebola crisis.
