Based on the theory of fluid mechanics, uses the Fluent software to pursue a numerical simulation for the flow field of driving roadway under different positions of ventilation duct,so as to investigate the Influence of ventilation duct position on the distribution of the flow field in the driving roadway. The results show that:when the ventilation duct is arranged on the side wall of the roadway, the gas concentration in roadway is larger on the side wall and the heading face where the ventilation duct is not arranged, and reaches the maximum value on the driving heading face of the side wall without ventilation duct. When the ventilation duct is arranged on the central part of the roadway, the gas concentration is larger in the side walls and the driving heading face of the roadway,it reaches the maximum at the driving heading face of two sides of the roadway.Compared with position of ventilation duct arranged on the side wall of the roadway, gas concentration of ventilation duct arranged on central part of the roadway is relatively small, but more vortexes are formed in roadway, and the wind speed backwards through driving heading face is smaller, which is not conductive to the circulation and discharge of harmful substances.
