摘要
小学阶段的英语教育是我国青少年学习英语的最初环节和最重要的阶段,因此,我们要为我国的学龄儿童开发并设计适合其英语启蒙学习、英文习字教学的教科书字体,让英语教科书字体更具专业性,以促进小学生正确的英文书写与良好阅读习惯的养成,并为他们后续的英语学习打下良好的基础。本文首先浅析了国内小学英语教科书字体使用的现状,阐述了小学英语教科书专用字体设计的内涵,最后提出了小学英语教科书专用字体设计的基本要求。
English font is an indispensable part of Western culture and primary school English education is the first stage and the most important one of English learning for teenagers in China.In order to lay a good foundation for their subsequent English learning,and for fostering their good English writing and reading habit,we’d better develop and design a suitable and specialized English font both for their textbooks and for their English calligraphy learning.Such font should also promote the professionalization of the primary school English textbook’s font.In this paper expounding the font connotation is followed by the analysis on the present font used in China’s primary school English textbooks.Some basic requirements for the specialized font designing are suggested in the paper as well.
