摘要
《星期六》是当代英国著名作家伊恩·麦克尤恩的代表作。当前国内外众多的研究还集中在该作品的叙事或空间性上,鲜有文章以暴力为切入点来进行诠释。小说中作家以伦敦的城市空间为背景,通过描写神经外科医生亨利·贝罗安一天24小时在伦敦都市的漫游体验,揭示了后现代伦敦都市空间无处不在的暴力现象,即直接暴力、凝视暴力、话语暴力和媒介暴力。论文拟借鉴列斐伏尔的空间理论和福柯的权力理论,试图挖掘暴力产生的根源,并以此探讨当今伦敦的都市社会面貌和精神内核。
Saturday is one of the masterpieces created by the British novelist Ian McEwan. Besides the widely explored themes of narration and spatiality both in China and abroad, violence is another breakthrough to the works. In Saturday the 24-hours life of Henry Perowne in the London metropolis is depicted and meanwhile the four main forms of violence are revealed, namely body violence, violence of gaze, violence of discourse and violence of media. Based on the space theory of Lefebvre and the power theory of Foucauh, the article tends to reveal the roots of violence so as to profoundly probe into all aspects of the current London society.
