摘要
本文在介入系统视角下对发表在南非和肯尼亚主流媒体上关于孔子学院的13篇新闻报道中的介入资源进行详细分析,旨在解读南非和肯尼亚主流媒体对孔子学院办学所持的态度,并探讨形成这种态度的社会因素。分析结果表明,两国媒体对孔子学院主要呈正面态度,而且态度的形成和政治、经济、文化等社会因素密切相关。基于上述研究,文章进而探讨孔子学院在发展壮大中面临的机遇以及遇到的问题并针对问题尝试性地提出些建议或对策,以期促进孔子学院可持续发展。
From the perspective of engagement system, this paper conducts a detailed study of the engagement resources in news reports concerning Confucius Institutes with the aim to find out the attitude towards Confucius Institutes held by South African and Kenyan media as well as the social factors against which the attitude is formulated. Thirteen pieces of news reports are collected as samples from both South African and Kenyans mainstream media. It is found that in these selected reports the engagement resources involving positive evaluation take up a predominant position and the media＇ s attitude is closely related to political, economical and cultural factors. Based on the above, the paper explores the oppor- tunities and problems Confucius Institutes face in their development. Furthermore, some suggestions for the solutions to the problems are put forward in the hope of promoting the sustainable development of Confucius Institutes.
