教育的代际流动性 被引量:27

摘要 以往分析家庭背景对子女受教育程度的文章,多采用相关性分析或简单的OLS回归,但由于个体能力的不可观测性,OLS估计值会产生一定的偏差。本文以中国居民收入分配课题组2002年城镇住户调查数据(CHIP2002)为基础,将外生事件"文化大革命"(CR)作为工具,研究父亲的受教育程度对子女接受高等教育的影响。数据分析显示教育受到"文革"影响的父亲(实验组)比没有受到"文革"影响的父亲(对照组)的受教育年限低2.485年,并且"文革"对于子辈的受教育年限没有影响。以"文革"作为工具变量可以克服估计中的内生性问题,得到较为准确的估计值。Probit回归结果表明,父亲的受教育年限增加1年,子女上大学的可能性增加6.92%;而在工具变量法回归中,父亲受教育年限的系数略大于基本回归系数,父亲的受教育年限增加1年,子女上大学的可能性增加7.75%。
