摘要
社会和文化两大功能在全球城市构建过程中,往往是相辅相成、相互影响,并影响着全球城市地位的巩固。伦敦和纽约既是经济方面的全球城市,同时也是文化之都,它们在文化方面的辐射甚为广远。一个世界级的全球城市必须多方面兼顾,才可能在全球各地众多城市中处于领先地位。
The role of social and cultural functions in the process to build global cities, are often complementary and mutually influenced, may further consolidate a position as a global city. London and New York are both global cities both in economic and cultural aspects, their radiation are especially far--reaching in the cultural aspects. Only by always taking many aspects into consideration can a world--class global city maintain a leading position among numerous cities around the world.
