Impact of temperature on the flight capacity of Sitophilus zeamais

摘要 利用26路飞行磨系统对不同温度条件下玉米象成虫的飞行能力进行吊飞研究.试验温度设置为22、25、28、31、34℃,相对湿度55%~60%,光照强度为900 lx.吊飞数据经整理得到单次最远飞行距离(Ud)、单次最久飞行时间(Ut)、单次最远飞行平均速度(Ummax)共3个飞行参数.统计分析结果表明:28℃时,玉米象的飞行能力最强;玉米象雄虫的飞行能力明显超过雌虫,雄虫可完成平均4 765 s连续不间断飞行,平均单次起飞最远飞行距离为649 m;雌虫可完成平均1 567 s连续不间断飞行,平均单次起飞最远飞行距离为67 m.温度对雄虫飞行能力的影响在Ut值上达显著水平.综合分析相关历史文献和试验结果,对高温条件玉米象的飞行行为的生态学意义和雌雄飞行行为的分化进行讨论,为改进危险储粮害虫玉米象的综合防治技术提供飞行行为学依据. The flight performance of S. zeamais was measured with a 26-channel computer-monitored flight-mill system.Five treated temperatures,22,25,28,31,34 ℃,were chosen for the flight trials with 55%-60% relative humidity and persistent light in 900 lx as environmental condition.Flight parameters including maximum flight distance within one takeoff (Ud),maximum flight duration within one takeoff (Ut),and mean flight velocity of the maximum flight distance within one takeoff (Ummax) were compared between sexes and among treated temperature conditions.The results showed that the maize weevil presented the maximum flight capacity at 28 ~C neglecting the gender difference.The flight capacity of male weevils with the mean Ud and Ut as 649 m and 4 765 s,respeetively,were stronger than females with the accordant parameters as 67 m and 1 567 s at 28 ℃.The effect of temperature factor on Ut was significant for male weevils,however, no signifieanees were found on Ud and Ummax.There were no significant impact for females on all 3 flight parameters.With a comprehensive analysis on history literatures on this pest,the ecological meaning of the flight was discussed as well as the the dimorphic flight behaviors under high temperature condition.This study is beneficial for improving the measurements in the practice of integrated management of this dangerous stored-product pest.
