摘要
文章结合《现代汉语词典》第6版的释义修订讨论词典释义的三条基本原则,即:释义行文要用浅显的现代汉语普通话书面语、同类条目释义行文要一致、要用长的字符串解释短的字符串,进而说明在释义修订中是如何贯彻这三条基本原则的。
Taking examples from The Modern Chinese Dictionary( 6thedition),this article discusses the three basic principles of dictionary entry definition,i. e. using simple modern written mandarin for entry definition,being consistent in defining entries of the same category,and defining shorter strings with longer strings. It also illustrates how the compilers of The Modern Chinese Dictionary( 6thedition) have implemented these principles in the compiling practice.
