摘要
论文集《文化复合性:西南的仪式、人物与交换》(待版)的导论,梳理了文集收录论文的主要内容,基于这些内容,提出"文化复合性"概念,以此概括中国西南人文世界的面貌,即不同社会共同体内部结构生成与外在社会实体的关系结构。指出尽管"文化复合性"是基于21世纪最初10余年一批新一代人类学研究者的历史民族志研究提炼出来的概念,但它对20世纪中国民族学(尤其是西南研究)的经验和理论研究遗产的总结,是对既有学术论述的反思性继承。在形成这种反思性继承的过程中,汲取西方人类学有关交换、结构、历史性、世界体系、族群性、神圣性等方面论述的理论养分,将之与新时代中国人类学民族区域研究相联系,进而提出了有自身特色的理论见解。
This introduction to the collection of essays Cultural Complexities ：Rituals, Persons, and Things in Southwest China summarizes the main content of this book and brings up the concept of ＂cultural complexities＂ with which the internal structures of different communities and their relational structures in connection with the external societies are analyzed. It points out that the concept of ＂cultural complexities＂ emerges with the research findings of historical ethnography by the new generation of anthropologists in the first ten years of this century but its summary of the theories and practice of the Chinese ethnology in the 20th century （especially studies on southwest China） is a reflective inheritance of the extant academic inquiry. This approach absorbs the theoretical elements of Western anthology concerning exchanges, structures, historicality, the global system, ethnicity and sacredness, and integrates them with the regional researches on Chinese anthropology in the new era, which helps construct some ethnological theories with Chinese characteristics.
