The manufacturing technology and development status of polyimide film （PI） in China, and the performance characteristics and application fields of the PI products of some main companies were reviewed. The market share, market trend, novel functional PI products, and new advance in technology of main PI companies in China in recent years were briefly introduced. The development tends of PI in China were pointed out.
