摘要
本文综述了异构数据源集成技术的发展必然性、发展历史、现状和将来。按照集成技术出现时间的顺序首先介绍了最通用的 ODBC方案，然后介绍了两种对关系数据库进行集成的传统方法：有全局模式的集成策略和无全局模式的集成策略，最后着重叙述了新时期出现的几种有代表性的数据集成方法。
The article summarizes the need to integrate heterogeneous data sources and describes its development in history, current days and future. First it introduced how ODBC, the most common used method, can access data from different databases transparently , then are two conventional relation database oriented integration methods(i.e. integration structure with common model and integration structure without common model). At last some kinds of state－ of－ the－ art methods are given.
