摘要
以从美国引进的高产杂交狼尾草Ｆ１为母本、优质的矮象草为父本进行有性杂交，杂交后代经多年的选育，育成比亲本质量更好、产量更高的杂交象草———桂牧１号。该草鲜草产量比母本、父本分别增产２６％和５５．２％；粗蛋白质含量比父本提高３．１５％，比母本提高３３．１６％；赖氨酸含量１．１４％，是一种高产高效新型牧草。
Guimu-1 hybrid Pennisetum purpureum is released successfully after selection and cultivation for many years through the hybridization between F 1 of Pennisetum americanum × P. purpureum as female parent and Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott as male parent, both of which are imported from the United State and are high yield and quailty. Guimu-1 has better quality and higher yield than the parents. The yield of its fresh forage is increased by 26% and 55.2%, respectively, compared with the female and male parents. Crude protein is 3.15% higher than the male parent and 33.16% higher than the female parent. Content of iysine is 1.14%.
