摘要
以《2012湖北统计年鉴》的数据资料为依据，借助统计软件 SPSS19．0，笔者采用主成分聚类分析法对湖北省12个地级市的城市发展竞争力进行综合评价分析．结果表明：武汉具有最强的城市发展竞争力，其次为襄阳、宜昌、荆州、孝感、黄冈．文末，作者提出了一些提高城市发展竞争力的建议．
According to data of Hubei statistical yearbook 201 2,a type of principal component cluster analysis is adopted to evaluate the development status of city competitiveness of twelve cities in Hubei Province with the aid of statistical software SPSS1 9.0.The result shows that twelve cities can be divided into three groups. Among them,Wuhan is the city with the strongest competition.The second is Xiangyang,Yichang,Jingzhou, Xiaogan and Huanggang.In the end,the authors give some suggestions on how to improve the city competitiveness.
