摘要
世界高等教育大众化可以大致分为主动型的高等教育大众化模式和被动型的、追赶型的高等教育大众化模式。中国高等教育正在摆脱追赶型大众化模式的某些特征,由外延式扩张开始走向了质量提升的内涵式发展道路,开始由追赶型、被动型的模式向主动型的模式转变。在全面建成小康社会,基本实现教育现代化的时代背景下,中国高等教育可以成功跨越追赶型高等教育大众化的某些困境,建立起中国特色现代高等教育。
The worldwide popularization of higher education can be generally divided into the active mode and the passive and catch-up mode. The Chinese higher education is breaking away from certain features of the catch-up mode and moves from external expansion toward content development for quali- ty improvement, transforming from the passive and catch-up mode to the active mode. Against the background of building a moderately prosperous society in China and realizing the general modernization of education, Chinese higher education can successfully overcome the dilemma faced by developing countries in popularizing higher education and develop into a modern higher education with Chinese characteristics.
