摘要
张士一(1886—1969)是我国现代著名外语教育家。他所创立的外语情境教学理论具有广阔的社会背景和深远的思想渊源,从20世纪20年代初到40年代末经历了萌芽、发展与成熟三个阶段。张士一外语情境教学理论主要包括理论基础、基本原理、实际应用三大部分。其理论性强,体系完备,较之国内外同类思想提出时间最早;影响了民国时期中学英语课程标准的制定、教科书的编写和教学方法的实际运用。张士一外语情境教学理论是原创的、本土化的、科学的外语教学理论,至今仍具有重要的理论与实践借鉴价值和深远的历史价值。
As a famous foreign language educationist, Zhang Shiyi built a new foreign language teaching theory---Situational Teaching Approach of Foreign Languages, which experienced the beginning stage, the devel- opment stage and the maturity stage from 1920s to 1940s . Its content mainly includes theoretical foundation, basic principles and practical application. This theory was not only put forward earlier than other similar language teaching thoughts at home and abroad, but also influenced formulation of curriculum standards, compilation of textbooks and practical application of language teaching methods during the period of Republic of China. As a kind of original and indigenous scientific foreign language teaching theory, Situational Teaching Approach of Foreign Languages has important theoretical, practical and historical reference value to present teaching.
