摘要
"江郎才尽"的历史典故较早见于《诗品》《南史》,由于记载的奇幻梦境而给后人解开才尽之谜造成了困难。尽管学界对其才尽的缘由、时间给予了多方位的分析考证,但大多未触及问题的本质。其实,《诗品》《南史》的记载已透露了江淹"才尽"的真正原因。钟嵘在评价江淹时,隐藏着一条从西晋、元嘉诗风到齐梁新体的过渡演变的曲线,反映了南朝人对这段诗歌发展史的认识,也表明了对"江郎才尽"的真正理解。它显示南朝古近、雅俗两种文学风格的交锋,也暗示江淹诗风在调和古近、雅俗之间的割裂状态。"江郎才尽"故事背后折射出南朝诗歌风气变迁的讯息,它是一个标志,反映了南朝人对即将到来新诗体的一种偏爱。
The historical story of "Scholar Jiang is at his wits' end" appeared first in Poetry Qualities and The History of the Southern Dynasties. The fascinating dreamlike settings of the historical record have been offering trouble for the later generations to explain the allusion. Although several analyses and investigations of the cause and time of the story have been made by the academic world, most of them fail to hit on the essence of the question. In fact, however, the records in Poetry Qualities and The History of the Southern Dynasties did reveal the actual cause for "the end of Jiang Yan' s wits". In his criticism of Jiang Yan, Zhong Rong preset a curve of transition from the West Jin Dynasty through the Poetic Stye in the Imperial Title of Yuanjia to the New Style in the Qi and Liang Dy- nasties, which showed the people of the Southern Dynasties' recognition of this period of poetic history and real un- derstanding of the story of "Scholar Jiang is at his wits' end". According to Zhong' s Criticism, there were disputes between the old and current styles and between the elegant and popular styles. It was obvious that Jiang Yah lacked the art of integrating the separation among these styles. The allusion mirrored the change in poetic styles in the Southern Dynasties, predicting a change in poetic style.
