摘要
1930年代前期,因着个人好恶的制约和政治、文学论战的需要,鲁迅、周作人先后发表多篇谈论金圣叹的文章。作家与学者的身份缠夹,对待基本史料的实用态度,造成了各取所需的文献取舍和有意无意的细节改篡。鲁迅以杂文笔法来解构周作人的文学史建构,周作人则试图用文学思路消解鲁迅提出的现实问题。相异的人生取向、文化趣尚和文学提倡,左右了两人对金圣叹的臧否毁誉;史料征引上的缺陷,限制了各自论说的学术史价值。以史实为准绳衡估周氏兄弟评价金圣叹的是是非非,为研究明末清初文学与现代文学之关系提供了一个特殊视角。
In the early 1930s,from the restriction of personal opinions and requirements of political-cultural controversy,Lu Xun and Zhou Zuoren successively issued essays on Jin Shengtan.The complicated identity between writer and scholar,as well as the pragmatic attitude toward the basic materials,had resulted in the selection of documents,and the intended or unintended manipulation of details.Lu Xun deconstructed Zhou Zuoren's narration of literary history in the style of Essay,while Zhou Zuowen attempted to dispel the practical problems raised by Lu Xun through a literary approach.The divergent orientation in life,cultural interest and literary advocacy had grasps on their evaluation of Jin Shengtan,while defects in material quotation limited the value of their remarks in academic history.Measuring the rights and wrongs in the evaluation of Jin Shengtan by the Zhou brothers provides a special perspective on the relations between modern literature and the literature of the late Ming and early Qing period.
