On the Translation of Chinese Philosophy

摘要作为世界哲学的重要组成部分,中国哲学具有合法性和独特性。中国哲学的研究应该从"以西释中"转向"以中释中",以中国哲学自身的概念、范畴和历史文化背景来诠释中国哲学。中国哲学的翻译涉及到中国哲学的文本、思想、概念、语汇等理解和转译的态度和方法问题,应该避免基督教化、西方哲学化或文化利用型的翻译途径,采取文化还原式的翻译如音译、创译和综合翻译来彰显中国哲学的特质和财富。 As an important part of the world philosophy, Chinese philosophy has its legitimacy as well as peculiarities. Instead of using Western philosophical concepts and terminology to investigate and explain Chinese philosophy, we should interprete Chinese philosophy in its own context and discourse. The translation of Chinese philosophy should avoid Christian proselytizing, Western philosophical adaptation and cultural appropriation in favor of cultural restoration approaches such as transliteration, innovative rendition and comprehensive translation.
