POPs (persistent organic pollutants, POPs) has long-term residual, bioaccumulation, semi-volatile and highly toxic characteristics, with the scientific and technological development, POPs alternative substances continue to produce, and because of detection technology development, POPs alternatives also have similar characteristics. They are a big threat for human health, study results suggest they are harmful to almost all systems of human, exposure to POPs for the offspring during pregnancy also have toxic effects. This paper reviews reproductive and developmental toxicity of persistent organic pollutants, and its related mechanism of progress, which can provide some theoretical basis for reproductive and developmental toxicity studies.
