摘要
讨论了对象 -关系数据库管理系统 ANGEL的规则机制的实现 ,主要包括 :规则语义、规则的耦合模式、冲突处理、级联触发以及继承等 ;给出了 ANGEL系统中规则的表示方法 ;描述了规则的触发算法。
We developed an ORDBMS ANGEL [1] . Its rule mechanism is much more flexible than traditional trigger mechanism, and its semantics is much more complex. In this paper, we present the semantics and implementation of the rule system of ANGEL. We first present the semantics of production rules in ANGEL in the following four aspects(section 2): coupling mode, conflict resolving, cascade firing, and rule inheritance. Then we constructed a special storage form of rules called Memory Active Form(MAF), as shown in figure 1, to improve the efficiency of rule management and manipulation, including rule inserting, updating, deleting, and querying (section 3). Such a form, to our best knowledge, has not been reported in the open literature. The rule mechanism has been implemented in SUN SPARC System.
