摘要
本文介绍了美国皮革科学研究的现状，特别是介绍了美国农业部东部地区研究中心皮革油脂羊毛研究室的研究课题与研究内容，对发展我国皮革科研工作提出了几点看法与建议。
The current situation of the American leather re search, specially the research projects and the research contents in the Hides, Lipids and Wool Research Unit, Eastern regional Research Center, United States D epartment of Agriculture (HLW,ERRC,USDA) have been introduced. The enlightenment s from the American leather research and some suggestions to develop the leather research in China have been given.
