改进的适合低码率的SPIHT图像编码算法

摘要 针对小波变换编码SPIHT算法在低码率下效果不佳的情况进行了改进。改进算法对低频系数采用SPECK算法,在当前阈值下高频系数部分有重要系数时,SPIHT算法才开始,而且对SPIHT算法也进行了改进。实验表明,在同压缩比下,改进算法重构图像峰值信噪比PSNR都比标准SPIHT的高。 Improvement is made aiming at the unsatisfied effect of wavelet transform encoding algorithm SPIHT in low bit-rate circumstance.The SPECK algorithm is used in the improved algorithm for low frequency coefficient,and only when there is significant coefficient appearing in high frequency coefficient sector in current threshold value then the SPIHT algorithm commences the operation.Moreover,the SPIHT algorithm has been modified as well.Experiments indicate that the peak signal to noise ratio PSNR of the reconstructed image derived from modified algorithm outperforms that of standard SPIHT.
