Evaluations of High-Velocity Impact for Spacecraft Shields

摘要 采用 AUTODYN-2D 无网格 SPH 数值技术,对球形铝弹丸正碰撞整体式结构、Whipple、双层铝及填充式(SW)防护结构的作用行为进行了数值模拟。结果表明,在相同面密度条件下,填充式防护结构抗空间碎片的效能最佳,Whipple 防护结构较差,双层铝防护结构介于两者之间,整体式结构最差。 Using the gridless smooth particle hydrodynamic(SPH)numerical technique of AUTODYN-2D hydrocode, the normal impact of monolithic,Whipple,all aluminum and stuffed Whipple shield by spherical aluminum projectile are simulated.The different damages of spacecraft wall protected by different shield structures are achieved.SW shield has shown the superior performance compared with the other three structures for protecting spacecraft from meteoroid and orbital debris(M/OD)at an equal areal density and the same impact conditions.Whipple shield is worse than SW shield.The shield performance of all aluminum structure is between SW shield and Whipple shield.The monolithic is worst than the other three.
