21世纪已开启第二个10年，世界继续处于大发展大变革大调整之中。中国的快速发展，既是世界大变局的重要组成部分，也是推动世界变革的主要动力之一。中国与世界从未像现在这样频繁地互动、紧密地交融。不断发展的中国正El益成为维护世界和平、促进世界发展的重要力量。
In the first ten years of the 21 st century,the international situation has gone through quite a few ups and downs.The international financial crisis has interrupted the global economic dynamism;a host of emerging market countries are reshaping the global world order;the threat of terrorism to international security is increasing remarkably;the global society is greatly transformed by the fast-paced information revolution.Entering into a new stage of development with the outside world, China has shared closer bond of interest with other parties,assumed greater responsibility for world peace and stability,made significant contributions to world economic growth,especially in the Asia-Pacific region,and built more compact ties in cultural exchanges.The world today is undergoing major developments which can be characterized by the trend of multi-polarization and the pursuit of development,reform and cooperation.In such circumstances,China will address the following four areas in its diplomatic work:vigorously promoting the international development agenda, continuously adhering to the new security concept with the times,further advancing the reform of economic governance,and upholding the spirit of unity and cooperation for mutual benefit.
