当今的中国,在发展现代设计的途中正面临着这样的选择:曾经的辉煌我们是眼睁睁地看着它们被记入史册,摆在博物馆中,成为遥远的历史,还是能试图用现代的方式把它们继承下去。这是许多设计师正思考的问题。本文将试图从华裔建筑大师贝聿铭为故乡建造的苏州博物馆新馆来分析中国的传统符号在现代建筑当中的诠释。
