摘要
无线通信正在成为多媒体通信业务的一个新的主体,其视频的编码和传输问题也正在形成新的研究热点.由于视频业务数据量大,对误比特率要求高,无线信道又具有易错、时变和带限的特点,且多径现象会导致慢衰落和快衰落,使得信道误比特率要比有线环境大得多.因此视频通信应用到无线通信中时,需协调好功耗、容错能力、压缩效率三者之间的关系.
Wireless communication is becoming a main part of multimedia communication services and the video coding and transmission are turning into the new research focus. Video service is featured with large data quantity and high requirement for bit error rate, wireless channel is liable to error and restricted bandwidth, and multipath effect may result in slow fading and fast fading, which causes much higher bit error rate than that of wired environment. Therefore, when video communication is applied in wireless communication, there is the need to coordinate the relationship between power consumption, error tolerance and compression efficiency .
